SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Read the following conversations and pay attention to how the SIMPLE PRESENT is used.

CONVERSATION 1:

KAHIT: What do you do for a living?
YIGIT: I am a graphic designer. I design magazines, brochures, and websites.
KAHIT: Well, that sounds terrific!...and what does your wife do?
YIGIT: She is a teacher. She teaches English in a private school.

CONVERSATION 2:

ICLAL: Do you like animals?
NUR: Yes, I do. I like dogs. What about you?
ICLAL: Well, I don't like dogs. I love cats, but my mom likes dogs very much.
NUR: Really, cats are very cute. I like them too.
